Title: Lee Hall Event with John Jacques
When: Sunday May 23, 2010 1:30 - 3:30
Description: Join us for an afternoon lecture about the new Sustainable Addition to Lee Hall at Clemson University with special guest John Jacques, architecture professor emeritus and architect with McMillan Pazdan Smith of Greenville, the architects of record for Lee Hall.

Of the new addition, Professor Jacques states, “It’s a building that unfolds and reveals itself. It’s a building about openness that leads to freedom - freedom of excitement about what it is that we do.” Part of the new design includes a geothermal system to help generate natural ventilation and a green roof (a method of rooftop gardening) to enhance insulation and environmental benefits.

The event is being hosted by Todd Ray ‘90 AIA and Marlene Walli Shade '77 AIA at Mr. Ray’s soon-to-be Platinum LEED Certified home in Arlington, VA. Light refreshments and CEU credits will be served, and a tour of Mr. Ray’s home will be offered.

Registration is not yet available; however, to add your name to the invitation list, email LeeHall@clemsonclub.org with your name, class and number of requested tickets. Space is very limited.

If you or your company is interested in helping sponsor the event or make a contribution in support of the Lee Hall renovation, please contact Jim Warren at jim@clemsonclub.org.
