What is your favorite thing about Clemson?
"My favorite thing about Clemson is the spirit and attitude that people
involved with the institution possess. The students, faculty, and alumni love Clemson and know that it is a great place but also have the dedication and drive to make make it even better. Clemson not only provides a student with a high quality education but also with the opportunity to develop as a person and to become a leader in any environment."

What does this scholarship mean to you?
"This scholarship has allowed me take advantage of the various opportunities that Clemson offers and to develop myself into a leader in the Clemson community. The generousity of people who came through Clemson before me wanted to make sure that the students today have the opportunity to have the same great experience as they did means a lot to me. I hope to do the same for someone else that comes after me."

What are your plans after graduation?
"After graduating in May, I will move to Baltimore, where I will start work in public accounting for KPMG as an auditor of financial services companies.  I am excited to move to the Baltimore/DC area, a place where there is a large number of Clemson alumni."

The Clemson Club of Baltimore and Washington, DC Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to deserving students from our area. Your contribution to the Annual Fund may be designated in support of this scholarship. Please visit www.clemson.edu/giving to make your gift today.

As a young alumni, you are an ambassador for the university daily in its goal to become a “Top 20” Public University whether you are aware of it or not. It can be the little things like a Clemson diploma hanging on your wall at work or a sticker on your car, volunteering in your community or local alumni club, or giving back to the university through the Clemson Fund. A gift of as little as $10 to the Clemson Fund will go a long way to increasing the value of your degree and advancing the universities goal of becoming a Top 20 University.

Mr. Tycho Howle ’71 made a generous offer to help increase young alumni giving and enhance your contribution toward the Clemson Fund. The Howle’s have offered to match $.50 per $1 of your gift for year 1 and 2 and in year 3, $1 per $1. This is a great opportunity to start your annual contribution to the Clemson Fund if you haven’t given in the past.
